I have a 2012 Ford Escape, 4 cylinder, that just loses power down to a virtual stalling. .

It doesn't matter if i'm stopped at a red light or driving at a steady 50 mph. I
have to stop, put it in park, shut the engine off and restart and then it runs fine
for another week or so.  Dangerous on the highway.
