Chevy 350 distributor

Asked by smithvalleydave Apr 26, 2019 at 12:35 PM about the Chevrolet 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am rebuilding a 77 Chevy 350. The new distributor is a half inch too long. I
have measured from the bottom of the indent in the oil pump shaft to the
manifold , and the same on the distributor !   The auto parts store said all
distributors are the same .
   Am I just jinxed ?

1 Answer

I already said , the measurements are off . Of course I turned the crank until it fell into the indent. I see some racing cams have an adjustable collar.
