1950 wont start

Question type: General

I have a 1950 chevy coupe deluxe 235 6cylinder
and it wont start has been sitting for 10 plus years
and has new battery new starter new coil and
plugs makes a slow winding nose but seems like
no fire to turn over

All have been changed and wemt down the check list but still wont start. Im stumped.

It has a real slow sound trying to turn over sounds like a dog almost.

All cables have been clean and starter was teasted good

Still nothing coil condenser points cap Wires plugs battery rotor have all been change i still cant get it to start its not turning as fast as it should to kick over. This car is really driving me crazy

I have dumped gas in the carb. While trying to start and there is spark to plugs. Would a bad ground keep it from turning over

Ok so i rechecked everything. And tried to start it and for some reason it was turning evn with the car being off then the battery got hot wat the hell happend
