opel bakie starts but when i drive it seems not to get any petrol

Opel corsa bakie start but while driving it cuts out and no petrol comes thru after 3 to 5
mins it's starts again what could bethe problem

Most opels have problems of cutting caused by a faulty sensor located by the side of a pully.please not am not a qualified motor mech but this jus through experience
