Im planing on getting the Nissan gt-r r35 spec-v... in my country its 135.000 euros.... and i love fast cars and the way it looks, but is there really a point in buying it? ot is the roumors that i will have too many problems with fixing and servicing it is true? Please help it isnt small amount of money...

HELL YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! u should buy it. servicing doesn't cost much and their would hardly be anything to fix as its a Nissan vehicle. but be careful when u use the launch control as it is not covered in the warranty

in my extended family we have 3 GT-r'z. it is ultra comfy, but the V spec is only a 2 seater while the normal one is 4. if u want my choice. i would buy a premium model and customize it as its cheaper and u can get more out of it.

I'd go for normal one too but cz the country is quite small and people here wouldnt buy the normal one its too expensive for poorer people and to cheap for richer people.. unfortunately :/ and also the roumors about the r-36 coming soon is there a point to wait or no?

tru. the r36 is comin out in 2013. itz ur choice really. they might make the r36 even more expensive for cheaper. make a choice and make a good choice. but i am and always will be a very big r35 fan

My family has one and advise you against it. It's only fun going crazy fast and just around town or on the highway there is just too much temptation and not enough open road. it will smoke most anything without requiring much driver work, but it ultimately lacks that sports car analog feeling. For blasts 0-60 it's amazing but you can only do it so much before you get pulled over and look like a douchebag. I would advise getting more of a driver's car whatever that may be for you.

Launch control was completely removed for the Spec-v

ya our normal gt-r doesnt have launch control. the early gt-rs had launch control and the 2010s and newer dont. ours is a 2010 normal gt-r. they give them a 5hp increase and smoked rims with bright orange calipers to tell the never ones apart

they still have launch control but the rpm drop from 4500 to 3000 when the foot comes off the brake. it hasn't removed just revised. nissan said this thierself, it is the same take off without tire spin and suspension bounce.

ya that was what they initially were going to do, but then they just took it completely off. If you dont believe me I dont care. My family has one but either lets face it itd b nerveracking to use ti with the warranty issue

isnt spec v supposte to b faster? hw cum they removed launch control?

bc it voids the warranty which makes nissan look bad and the launch control when abused can kill ur trans. the v is better in the corners and a little grippier, but not much faster in a straight line if any.

There is a forged trans gear kit that is made for the Gt-R by a company named SSP, nissan take note of this and use a gear kit that is beefed up and there wouldn't be the warrenty issue at all.

the spec v is not that much faster. it only has trimed weight by about 200 lbs. and +5 hp and has a added boost feature for more boost, it is supposed to perform a little better then the regular Gt-R. rollin 0-60 of like 3.7 i read somewhere.

Hey Mate Have you checked into who can work on the car??Have you checked on prices for replacement parts? Also check on resale value,You will loose a lot of money after first year, like 40,000,and if you can afford a hit like that than go ahead. If you want a car that does not loose as much value, and will blow the doors off the Nissan than buy a Z06 Vett.. Now your talking, and you have a very good resale value, also the bank will use ur vette as an assit. But your Nissan not a chance..
