vauxhall corsa 1.7 diesel

i have a vauxhall corsa diese li went to in the morning i wouldn't start i had a battery light
on so i bought a new battery it lasted 2 days and i went to this morning and the battery is
dead can anybody tell me what's wrong thanks

the battery is not recharging- sounds like a bad alternator- the light you saw is an alternator light, meaning there is a charging problem- there is no "battery light"- check to see if maybe you just lost a fan belt-
