97 Chevy Lumina 3.1

Asked by danheath1 Jun 27, 2010 at 08:50 AM about the 1997 Chevrolet Lumina

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a problem with my lumina and hope you can help. it all started when the brake lights went out. I replaced the brake switch under the steering column and that did not fix the problem. I asked around and was told it was probably the multi switch on the steering column. Next, the security light started coming on and the car wouldnt start periodically. I just replaced the entire steering column and still the car will not start...What do I do now?

New Rockies should help. Otherwise it's probably the ignition switch. That was my problem.
