I have a oil leak in my 71 cutlass supreme has 350 olds motor 4 barell carbarator is there a way i can find out where it is leaking from by myself

Car starts out good and then runs hot after
a half a mile

The running hot is possibly low coolant, bad radiator, bad hoses, bad thermostat, bad water pump or maybe even blown head gasket. To find oil leaks I have found that a small inspection mirror helps out a lot.
