Manufacturer does not recommended my 2008 Galant tow a 760 dry wt camper? Is that so, or just a recommendation? If towing is OK, what hitch kit should I use, and engine/frame care is needed?

Question type: General

Bought my 2008 Galant from Enterprise in 2009 with 50,000 miles, now  has
154,912 miles mostly highway miles driving from NC to VA, SC, GA, TN. Not
sure if its a ES or DE. Relocating from NC to ND next month and will be
driving pulling 900lbs (760 tow wt camper and 200+lbs of stuff.

Do not even attempt it, front wheel drive cars are not good vehicles to tow anything. With that kind of mileage the increased load would most likely burn something up like the transmission. Rent a moving van and a trailer and trailer the car. That's my recommendation.
