I have a 2003 trail blazer and the odometer and driving indictor letters do not light up when vehicle is on what could be causiong this

on my tailblazer the odometer numbers and the driving indicator letters do not light up or come on when the vehicle is on all the fuses have been checked and all appear to be good

My GMC Envoy started working after replacing the ignition switch. It would not completely disengage electrically, but I could take the key out. The radio remained on and the car seemed to think it was in reverse, yet there was nothing wrong with my neutral safety switch (PRND) and the cable was fine from shifter to tranny. These vehicles have lots of electrical gremlins.
