I recently got my windshield replaced and had major leaking in my car. they checked the windshield and said it was the sealing in the body of my car behind the windshield?? could this damage have been caused by them? or is this a crazy coincidence

Sometimes the frame can rust, but if it seal was compromised, they should have said something before or after the install. Sealing the windshield to the car involves special caulk. Have them remove the windshield and replace it properly. The install should be covered under warranty, No? Was it replaced under your insurance? Contact your insurance agent if you can't get satisfaction from talking to the glass shop manager.

You should also have left the two front windows open several inches for several hours after the installation. They should have advised you to do that. With all the windows closed the new seal will be blown out when you close the doors. Hope that helps! Jim
