Car not shifting into 4th gear

I have a 2003 Cavalier that has been running
great for 2 years. It is a 5 speed and today
while I was heading home I Hurd a wierd
noise and noticed my car will not shift into
4th gear for some reason. I tried every other
one and they work fine. No check engine
light is on and the car seems to be running
good. Anyone know what the problem can
be? Thanks
