2007 Silverado sputter/miss

Asked by Chevytruck05 Mar 10, 2020 at 01:57 PM about the 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 Silverado V6.   New plugs,wires,cap&
rotor        Every time it rains it has a terrible miss
when I lift my foot off of peddle, no problem
accelerating.    It isn’t pulling any codes.    I’m lost!
A buddy suggested maybe mass flow air sensor
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

If you have quite a few miles on it and haven't cleaned your throttle body valve I would do that. It is on the air intake. The hose from the mass air flow sensor is connected to it on the other end. It may be sticking. It is an easy task and there's lots of information on this on the internet. (I'd first check to see where it is on a 2005 Silverado and how to clean it.)
