Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've got an Chevy Malibu classic with a 2.2 ecotech
engine.  It cranks over really hard but doesn't seem
to be getting any spark.  Here's a list of the things
I've checked and or replaced;  spark plugs,  ignition
coil pack,  ignition control module,  battery
(including terminals),  ignition switch ( due to this
specific car have the auto theft issues),  fuel pump,
fuel relay,  all checkable relays, compression
getting to the injectors,  starter, cleaned carburetor,
and traced most the wiring under hood as best I
could.  I'm starting to run out of my mechanical
knowledge and any ideas would be very helpful.

You mentioned ignition switch, wonder if you need to reset the anti theft system.

I didn't know you could reset it. How would I go about doing that? Also my anti theft light isn't showing, which was why I ruled it out

You would have to look it up on line, or it would be in the owners manual. There is a procedure you can do to reset the theft system. You have everything to make a good spark. Check and see if there is power to the coil pack.

I reset the theft system and nothing. And I don't know a way to check to see if it's getting power without a multi meter which I don't have.

These answers got my 2004 Chevy Classic back on the road! Reset the anti theft system, since it was blinking. My check engine light wasn't on, but the car is back! It would crank, but not start. Hear the fuel pump going when turning the car on. Replaced battery & spark plugs, then found out about this faulty ANTI THEFT system reboot. Turned the key on (NOT START) waited 10 minutes for the antitheft light to turn off, then actually started my vehicle again. Thank you internet...
