Asked by Griceldamc Oct 06, 2017 at 05:30 PM about the 2007 Mitsubishi Galant

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

As I was driving my 07 Galant the battery came on.
Then antilock, then break light. As I was driving brake
light would turn on and off I made sure brake was not
on ,keep in mind its light that comes on when I use
emergency brake. So I was able to get home n park.
Few days later I drive to cornor store that is really
closeby, I arrived fine. When I got back in car n turned it
on the bat er light came on as I drove back home
antilock came on so I parked it. Next day I go to turn
on and it wouldn't starts .lights come on n I go to turn
key n it won't start.

the batt light usually means the alternator is going/gone bad , I had though they up and die but not the case any more they can go out gradually , so thats a place to start , make sure batt. is fully charged with new alt. might need a memory saver when disconnecting the batt.

My car is doing that as well, just put a new alternator on and charged the battery. It was fine while I drove for about 10 miles, then those lights came on except the battery light. As I drove in the driveway it was smelling as if something was burning. I have just replaced an 02 sensor, exhaust manifold and the cat. convertor. I would like any ideas?
