Do I need to have my wiring checked?

Asked by Jynxed3550 Jul 31, 2020 at 03:25 PM about the 2006 Chevrolet Uplander

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I had to replace my passenger turn signal in my
Chevrolet uplander and the next day it was blown
again. Around the time the first bulb went out my
cigarette lighter ports stopped working. We
checked the fuses and found one blown so I
replaced the bulb again. But the bulb looked
burned. Should i get it checked for a wiring
problem?  We just bought the car used.

Did you handle bulb with your bare hands? if so, don't, use dry clean gloves to handle bulb. Oil from your skin may leave a hot spot on bulb and blow the bulb. Do you think moisture from another source is getting on the bulb?
