Chevy 350/383 stroker swap in a 1977 Pontiac Bonneville

Asked by TwizTeDxNinjAx Jan 16, 2019 at 11:44 AM about the 1977 Pontiac Bonneville

Question type: Car Customization

Hi, I'm looking to purchase a 1977 Pontiac Bonneville Brougham for my dad
as a gift, and was learning a little bit about the old Chevy/Pontiac small
blocks from him. The Bonneville i'm looking for has the Pontiac 400cu small
block, but if my dad wants to engine swap, could he put a 350 or 383 stroker
in instead (granted he gets the parts, he knows literally everything he would
need off the top of his head)

Thank you!

He was saying the the pontiac small blocks were a bit heavier than the chevy blocks and i think it has the stock trans in it still, so if the trans went out he might just want to throw a 383 in there or something and give it more power and rebuild it Sorry for the noobish question lol

Unless you are going for an all out race car what do you care about a few pounds? Get a set of aluminum heads and you can make all sorts of power and save weight too.
