1971 Volkswagen Convertible Beetle

Asked by Joyce Feb 11, 2019 at 12:44 PM about the 1971 Volkswagen Beetle

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

We have a 1971 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible that was previously restored but has been sitting for 10 years.  We don't know yet if it will even start.  The paint has a rough surface and there is mold on the inside of the convertible top.  It is sitting on a custom made tow trailer.  How much should we be looking to price it at?

I'd love to know what you've got there as well. The 71 is an iffy year with them making the stuper the same time as the standard. They actually did that for quite some time but the standard is worth much more than the stuper. (yes the "t" is very intentional) 10 years is just a little tiny rest for these cars. I just got done "rejuvenating" a 67 that has been sitting for nearly 30 years. It is a great running car after the year and half I spent on her.
