You may need to have a transmission modification performed which will allow you to flat-tow the Patriot. Most vehicles with automatic transmissions are NOT readily flat-towable without a disconnector put in the transmission which allows the output shafts of the CV axles to be disconnected from the gears so that the wheels moving do not move the transmission internals.

Kevin....are you still out there? I am looking for information on towing an Automatic 2008 Patriot.... Are you towing your jeep? How is that working for you? I would appreciate any info you can send my way. Thanks.

Try looking on Remco. com and check out thier application chart. It looks as if it is a 5 speed 2 or 4 wheel drive you can flat tow. .....asphaltgypsy :0)

the owner's manual should have that info. It's in the book for my 2010 Patriot, no reason why you wouldn't have the same info right there in the glovebox
