Key doesn't do anything in on position

When I  turn my key to the on position
nothing happens, but when it's in
auxiliary things do work.

If the battery/terminal/terminal wires good and power to everything is good/no blown fuses and all grounds to frame from battery & engine are good and no shorts anywhere then it is likely the ignition switch.
