I would start by having a qualified mechanic check the idle control components and possibly the fuel system components such as the fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator. Did you have the fuel filter changed? It could just be something as simple as that. Unfortunately, cars now days are so complicated you pretty much have to take it to a professional that has the equipment and knowledge to diagnose a problem. Yeah it sucks but there really is no other alternative. If you have some friend or neighbor start replacing this part or that part you can spend a lot of money real quick and still not cure the problem and wind up spending more than if you had just taken it to a professional to begin with. Nothing is cheap and simple in this day and age any more. Good luck. Tim

I had this problem and it turned out to be a bad fuel injector, however there are many things to rule out first: is fuel pressure good is map sensor good is spark good is timing belt good, and installed correctly are there vacuum leaks, or broken hoses with needle type voltmeter, does computer send more gas to inlector just before it stalls I drove myself crazy untill doing the last check.
