Won't start and when it does won't idle long enough to run

Hard starting the car and when it does start and I can get it
revved up enough to stay running every time you pressing the
gas it goes to die and if you can get it going to go a little
ways and it'll die on me

if this has the direct fuel injection assembly i would say either that or the idle control valve is to blame.

my cabriolet is strange. I runs great most of the time. Once in a while while driving the rpms fall below 10k and the car bogs down. It take about 45 seconds to get to 45 mph from a stop. When this happens I drive home and park the car. Upon the next start up everything is working fine. I have a new fuel filter, plugs air filter,wires, no vaccum leaks.
