miles on it for 2,500 worth it?

That age Subaru is known for head gasket failure. It's also known for brake line rusting. Other than those two big items, it's a nice vehicle.

You can check the carfax and see if that work has already been done and done by a reputable shop. If not, I wouldn't buy it. Hope that helps! Jim

Too high in my opinion even if it is in good shape. I would pay a lot less or find a lower mile car. How long do you need it to last?

A 15yr old WRX has somewhere between negative and $10k value. That said, the 2005-2006 era motors had extremely high failure rates, so it's a complete crap shoot. Good luck. Buy only if you want an intensive, and perhaps pricey hobby.
