Transmission will not go into gear

I have a 2006 dodge ram
1500 with a v6 and
standard transmission.
The tranny will go into
reverse and 1st but will
not stay in any other
gear.....what could b the
problem

the reverse gear bypasses the main gear cluster. These manual tranny are pretty straightforward, if u can't get any forward gears, prolly time to pull n repair the tranny.
