Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Couple days ago car died. Alternator was running
low volts, so was battery. Put new battery and new
alternator. Car started up and ran fine. 15 min later,
battery light is back on. Any ideas?

If you have a bad short somewhere in the electrical system....it can overburden the alternator and burn it out....then the battery will lose power soon thereafter (though it may still be ok if you recharge it). So could be neither the alternator nor the battery were initially bad. If you know how to do some electrical testing and have a little digital volt/ohm meter you may be able to isolate the problem.
