PT Cruiser (Turbo)

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 PT Cruiser, (Turbo) and when I went to work this morning it would not start . My key fob would not even open my door. Used my other key fob and it still would not open the door. I used key to open door and when I tried the key in the ignition , nothing. no lights, nothing. I replaced the battery and alternator about 6 weeks ago so both are good. I am thinking electrical. I am going to pull all the fuses and see if I can find anything. I can not even jump start it to get it to the dealership to get a diagnostic check on it as it won't jump start.

Good chance it is your ignition switch or the computer. Stupid question but must be asked by chance did you put the positive on the negative and negative on the positive? Do your lights come on when you open the door????? If they do then you know your are at least getting power up to the fuse box.
