why does my car idle high

my 2003 buick century is idling way to high you can go down the road and not
even press the accelarator it has been doing this for months my husband has
already replaced the throttle body and sensor and we replace a vaccum hose
that was split can somebody please tell me what is wrong with my car

A high idle can be caused by something as simple as a vacuum leak. Or it could be a defective/dirty idle air control valve, idle speed controler, fuel pressure regulator, or even the engine being out of time. A longer shot, it could be caused by a defective alternator.
