I believe the spot to release it is on the pass. side rear- feel under the bottom edge and you will feel where it is attached- lift and wiggle there and it will pop up- the battery is located under there.

Take hold of one front corner, either left or right side, and pull up and back rather briskly. If you pull at the correct angle it will pop right up. It may take you several tries to pull at the correct angle.

The top half is different from all others I have removed. You do not pull it upward as with most others, This seat has 4 clips near the top of the seat. First, remove the 2 bolts at the bottom which attach the seat belts. To detach the top, you must depress each clip with a screwdriver from the top. Insert the screwdriver or metal ruler between the seat and the body, at the top. Push downward to depress each clip while pulling the cushion outward. Do this for each of the 4 clips and it will pop off.
