Tough question, too many variables. How much an unknown model, condition, mileage, options. Also, going back seven years to know the value of a car two years older than that to satisfy an IRS purpose?

Besides, you are certainly not the first or last person to have to report that,. The IRS may even have a "standard value" , ask them.
