Ford f150 wont start

My 1991 ford f150 with yhe straight 6 will not start,
have duel gas tanks and both fuel pumps are
working, I am not getting spark.  I was told it is a
sensor in the distributor, any advice

Ford ignition module. You can run the self test jumping the connector next to the battery. Have someone count the check engine light. Look up this procedure online. " FORD SELF TEST"

Interesting, I have the same exact system, newer truck and not once ever heard of a sensor in distributor.it started just fine but tanks stole gas. I never put it in shop and fought it for a year. Interesting discovery to resolve issue.
