92 ford 150 has spark and is getting gas to the rails with pressure but just turns over and will not start what could cause this

In order for an engine to run, it requires fuel, heat source, and oxygen. If you have all three then you may have a jumped timing chain BUT...what kind of fuel pressure? A spurt out of the schrader valve means next to nothing. There has to be A LOT of fuel pressure to feed the motor. To answer your question of what could cause this: Failed fuel pump, failed ignition module, failed PCM, Bad PCM ground, failing ignition coil, low compression, bad gas, aftermarket alarm systems, rag stuck in the throttle plate, pinhole in the distributor rotor.....there are a lot of things that can keep an engine from starting. I'd start with the fuel pressure thing first, then I'd go with ignition timing (since you have spark).
I'm having th same problem. It smells like it's not firing but chcked that. Could it be the fue pressure regulator passing to much fuel by?
