PLEASE HELP My BMW X5 e53 from 02 Won't start not lights up Dashboard!

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I got home from work & it worked fine up
until this morning when I tried to start it
up... won't star and won't even light up the
dashboard. Doesn't unlock doors and the
central locking doesn't work either.
Although there is power arriving at the
sockets and lighter, the dashboard won't
even light up. What SHALL I DO? Check
the fuse box? What fuse in specific could it
possibly be? Any other problem? Please
HELP!

Thank you Bob, I have just changed the battery last Saturday... Installed it myself and the car ran smoothly! Could it be related? Shall I test it either way?
