Question type: Maintenance & Repair

oil leaking from there.  I live in costa rica.  My Tico mechanic replaced pistons rings,
etc, etc, on my 1984 ford ranger, 2.9 liter 6 cylinder.  Oil is still leaking.  Yesterday
he removed the part the oil filter screws into and we found that he had used silicone
on the rubber gaskets.  The silicone was dried onto the rubber.  He did not have
new gaskets.  He cleaned the silicone off and reinstalled the used rubber gaskets.
What do I do ?!?!?!?? Oil leaking......

Why is it your problem? You paid him money to do the job, right? He's a mechanic but he can't figure it out? Doesn't inspire confidence in the rest of the job- oh, well- GM uses a liquid gasket- if you can't find the paper gasket, part # "who knows", get a tube of that and try it-
