What would be a good choice of fuel injected motor to replace my 360?

I have a 1972 Ford F250 with the original 360 engine. The motor sounds like it has thrown a rod, and in the event that it cannot be rebuilt I am trying to figure out my options. If I have to change the motor I would prefer a new fuel injected motor, but that would probably mean a new trannny as well, and maybe a new drive shaft, and a computer, and a wiring harness, ect. But then it would be off to the paint shop, like new!

if you have the time and a lot of money, a good 5.0 liter engine would be a great choice, Why not just get a new 360 engine? keep it original

that is a cool truck- keep it original- maybe just hot rod the engine a little- they don't make trucks with carbs anymore and they never will again- just enjoy your good luck, but if you must, go ahead and spend 30 grand and make it into a resto-mod
