no side lights front and rear or fog light

There are no front and rear side lights or rear fog .Is this down to the first position on the light switch. Is there any way round this other than a new switch?
Another problem boot switch does not always work but fog light indicator comes on .On pressing fog light boot pops?

Hello cannon-- I am having a bit of trouble understanding your question. It was well after 1975 that manufacturers started putting side marker lights and rear fog lights on cars. Are these the lights you are talking about? Let me know. Good luck from Bovan.
