Can I safely tow a 1985 S-10 V-6 with automatic transmission behind my RV

No problem. Yes you can but you will need a kit that will unhook the rear drive shaft or keep the gear selector in neutral. Talk to any RV dealer they will be able to help you.

Thank you so much. I even contacted Chevrolet and their answer was "Sorry we don't keep information on vehicles that old". They should have info on their computers going back to the first Chevrolet built.

Hey tennisshoes what's up? They have a kit that holds the gear selector in neutral and has a pump for automatic transmissions so they don't burn up. I've only seen two of them.

I towed a Chevrolet S-10 behind my "older" motorhome for years with no problems at all. Oh, yes it was a 5 speed manual transmission..
