Drove car with one spark plug that was not connected

Drove approximately 11km... Car had no power and  
not safe stopping on highway... Drove like that
home where I checked and realized that spark plug
was not fitted properly

Checked all plugs and wiring to make sure nothing else was not connected. It started perfectly fine and sounds normal but smoking which it never did. Could driving with one loose spark plug have caused damage to engin? Don't want to drive with it if it could have. :(
