that is a pretty rare package an 85 SR5 4x4 I bought mine slightly lifted in pretty good condition for a little over $3,000 and I looked for years for it so I would say any where from $2,500 to $3,500 or so if you can find a stock on thats not a rock crawler already

Hmmmm, the obvious question is what condition is the 4Runner in. I just bought a 1989 with everything that you're looking for with 98k original miles for $7k. Some might think that's a lot but it's in almost "show room" condition. Everything works the seats look new, everything is in primo condition. Since a 4runner in that kind of condition is rare to find, $7k was worth it to me. So it's really up to you and what you think it's worth to you. I agree with the last reply, $3-4k is an average price for an average 4Runner Bill

I would still say you overpaid. I just picked up an 88 22re 5spd near perfect paint, no rust at all. New 4" lift w/ 3" body lift, pristine interior for $2500. I would say your 85 could go for about that. Really depending on the shape but the 85's go a bit higher due the the solid axle but I would say over $4500 is overpaying.

in seattle wa. i just paid $4,500. for a 85 with 220,000 mi. , sr5, 5 speed, 22re, unmolested solid axle, new 6in lift and decent 35s. shes not cherry, but still one of the cleanest ive seen in and out without resto.i agree its worth what youll pay for it or vise versa what you will sell for. you should be able to find a nice one for $4,500. I wouldnt resell for $5,500! The force is strong in this one! good luck!

I'm looking at one right now, with original paint for 3,400,00 229 thousand miles. It's a four cylinder I think those are even more rare than the six. Can not make up my mind. It's real clean, 1990 I personally think it's worth it. I'm still thinking. No power windows that's fine less problems.

I bought my 85 4Runner 22r in 1986 and have had it since. I kept it in the garage for last 21 years and now am ready to let it go. I have records dating to purchase in 86 and it is unrestored or altered. Red, with slightly faded red hard top. I dont have a clue what to ask, but when I listed it 3 years ago I had someone take it for a drive and bring it back covered in mud. I took it off market and wont make that mistake again. How do I sell it without letting strangers drive it and how do I know what it is worth? I am worried at its age something could fall off or break. Body is in great shape, low miles. All original
