Where to find the vin (tag) on a 1958s Chevrolet Delray?

Asked by J4TS Jul 09, 2018 at 11:13 AM about the 1958 Chevrolet Delray

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

I am having a hard time finding the vin (tag) on my 1958s Chevrolet Delray. Can anybody tell me, where it should be ? I've heard about numerous locations regarding the Impala and Bel Air, nothing specific about the Delray though. All I can find is the body tag.

I've already looked unter the upper left door hinge and everywhere under the hood.

I'd appreciate any kind of help!

Try looking for it stamped in metal somewhere on the frame, riveted to the dash or stickered on the door or jamb.

I'm guessing the number has been stamped on the upper side of the frame towards the body and I'll have to search it with a mirror, huh ? No numbers in the other places you suggested.

Vehicles this old can be hard to locate. Might be worded differently such as serial/chassis/motor#. Did you receive any paperwork when you purchased it?
