What, you can't open the door from the inside either? I find it hard to believe that the door won't open from the inside, so that you may access the panel to affect repair of the outside door handle. Also be sure the window is up all the way, and the door is unlocked!

Well, I have the same problem, so you can believe it all right! The little well around the door handle was cracked, and I had the same problem with the front door last year (car is old, 2001). I replaced the well and, but it still won't open. It seems that the lock is stuck or broken inside the door, but with the door shut, I can't remove the door panel to get to the innards.
