Truck won't run unless in choke

Ok so my 95 Chevy I just put a different  carb on the truck
the carb this one is only few months old. The truck wont
start  unless itd being choke I have to keep on the gas or it
wont shut off

Not making sense , it probably has a T.B.I. unit not a carb. The I.A.C. valve controls fuel ratio for cold start . Got vacuum leaks ?

No it has a 650 edle brock 4 barrel on it I have to start in choke n gas it or it will just shut off
