Honda 2004 CRV radio and audio system locked out. How do I actually enter the 5 digit code once I disconnect the battery and retry?

Replaced battery in Honda 2006 CRV. Lost audio system, reset clock ability, and CD player ability. Tried to enter the 5 digit code but can't get ERROR E to go away. Don't know exactly how to try again after disconnecting battery for a awhile. Do I enter code with motor on? Radio on? Boulder Co

Per my manual you need to let the car run for 1 hour then you can renter the code

Presently, i live in Nigeria, a country in West Africa. Not quite long i orderd 4 Honda CRV 2009 Model 4rum the US. And on its arrival here in my country, i had to send my younger brother 2 bring it 2 my residence which is about 48 hours journey 4rum the clearing or sea port 2 my town. But unknowingly to me, how roughly he must hav used or drove the car while bringing it.
