Front Doors and Ice Build Up

Asked by Bruce Feb 09, 2009 at 12:04 AM about the 2007 Chevrolet HHR

Question type: General

More a peeve than anything that can be solved.  This is my second winter with the '07 HHR and the amount of ice that builds up between the front fenders and the doors is annoying to say the least.  Open the door and hear the 'crunch' of ice splintering and breaking.  Can't be good for the door panels in the long run.

TRY SOME SPRAY SILICONE IN THE DOOR JAMS THE MELTED SNOW AND IEC WONT STICK TO IT.

I'm glad I'm not the only who has noticed this. The first time I heard the crunch, it freaked me out. I'm just used to it now! ha
