Why would 2007 ford focus clutch stop working in stop and go traffic, then work fine a few minutes kater

My 2007 ford focus clutch stopped working in stop and go traffic. I was eventually able to get off the road and then the clutch started working fine.why?? What should I do?

Need to get it looked at asap. Not sure on that one but a slave cylinder could do this, may just need some fluid, and checked for leaks.

When you say 'stopped working' do you mean would not engage or would not dis-engage? But Rowefast is right, first thing to do is check the hydraulic fluid. Not sure on the Focus is same reservoir as brakes or not
