can i transplant a 2002 engine and drivetrain in a 72 camaro?

I have a 72 camaro I would like to know if I can replace the engine and trans and rearend with a 2002 engine and drivetrain.

if u are willing to do a little cutting and welding u can put any type of motor into any type of car just depends on how much work u wanna do
