Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a used Pontiac grand prix 2001 and it threw a

grrr o take it in to see what's up but mid drive the car loses
power and shuts off as I'm accelerating on hwy. Does
anyone know why it would do this?

The P1629 code is for the security system. You need to be towed to your local GM Dealer for repairs. The security system has shut down the vehicle! Hope that helps! Jim
