Car won’t crank

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2002 grand am & when I went outside
this am to start my car nothing happened.
Lights come on & everything so I’m almost
positive it’s not the battery. When I turn the
key over I could hear the pump come on, I
didn’t hear a clicking noise so idk if it’s my
starter or not. I’m lost here. Idk what’s going
on.

I was told to check my battery by turning on the wipers & if they work like normal (not working slowly) then I dnt have a battery issue. There was a couple times before where I went to start my car & it acted as tho it wanted to but didn’t, then it eventually started. Now it won’t crank at all when I turn the key over.

Now I’m started to think it really is the battery. I’m going to run it up to auto zone real quick & have them test it

It’s not the battery or alternator...went to get them tested...was told they were good...& when I went back out to start my car again this am it did the same thing...won’t crank
