what would cause the check engine light to stay on?

The check engine light stays on all the time, the engine runs great, car drives great out on the road. The check engine light stays on all the time.  The oil and fluids are all OK

replace the sensor

i have the same car..... is your gas tank full? mine goes on when im low on gas.... i know its kind of a dumb answer but you never know

it could be a bad oxygen sensor, if you don't have a drivebillity issues, get the trouble code with a scanner, a generic obd 2 scan tool won't work, or get a quality service manual
