1999 Grand Marquis Check Engine Light

Asked by NotACarGenius911 May 25, 2019 at 01:35 PM about the 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Check engine light has been on for
two years. I live in California and it’s
time to smog my car. Drives with no
issues.

When scanned, the following code
appears: P0455 - evaporative
emission system leak detected (gross
leak/no flow)

I got a new gas cap. Did not work.
Does anyone know what else it could
be? I have no clue what step I should
take next..

Please help!!!
