My car air conditioner won't blow cold air

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Has freon in it, compressor kicks on, and the hose where the freon goes even gets cold
but it won't blow cold air in the car only hot air

Is the compressor going on and off (Cycling ) if so then you need to add refrigerant to the system.

The blend door actuator or the ETAC (digital heater A/C control) unit could be bad. Is the air coming out of the proper vent (floor, defrost, dash)?

The shop said I will need to replace my air compressor but question if I don't run the air until I replace it can I drive my car
